The 54th Annual Academy of Country Music Award took place on April 7, in Las Vegas, Nevada. One of the most famous country stars, Reba McEntire, hosted the show for the 16th time and she did a good job: for several times she even had mentioned the touchy issues of ACM such as lack of women in the nominated list.
But it didn't stop Kacey Musgraves, 30 from receiving “Female Artist of the Year” and “Album of the Year” awards. Nomination “Male Artist of the Year” went to Thomas Rhett Akins Jr., 29. In his acceptance speech, he thanked his lovely wife and family for constant support and love.
The honor to be announced as an “Entertainer of the Year” went to Keith Urban. In the first time, he won this award after the many years of nominations. Keith Urban was quite surprised and shocked as much as his well-known wife, Nicole Kidman, who came there to support.
