Jojo Siwa: biography
Joelle Joanie Siwa is a 16-year-old American singer, dancer, and internet personality. She gained wide recognition after an appearance on the Dance Moms. Siwa has two YouTube channels, JoJo Siwa TV and It's JoJo Siwa, and she is also an owner of the apparel line.
Childhood and youth
Joelle Joanie Siwa was born in Nebraska in 2003 to Dr. Tom Siwa and dance teacher Jessalynn Siwa. Joelle also has an older brother Jayden who is also a vlogger.
At the age of ten, Siwa appeared together with her mother on the show Abby's Ultimate Dance Competition. Joelle turned out to be the youngest member of the competition, and she also became one of the top-5 finalists.
In 2014, Siwa started going to auditions for the Abby Lee Miller's dance contest team, and next year, she was chosen for that team. During that time, the young dancer started began starring on the show Dance Moms. Also, in 2015, JoJo appeared in the music video Right Now I'm Missing You by MattyBRaps.
In 2016, JoJo released her debut song Boomerang that was dedicated to the issue of inline bullying, and also she released I Can Make U Dance. Two years later, the Vivid Seats named Siwa the Breakout Artist of the Year.
In 2019, the singer went on her first tour titled D.R.E.A.M. The Tour. It started on May 17 and ended on August 20; the locations included approximately 52 cities both in the U. S. and Canada. Siwa also had other concerts in Australia and the United Kingdom.
Besides, JoJo collaborated with the J. C. Penney, the department store, and released the line of home decor (for instance, party supplies), accessories (pink watch for kids), and a doll that looked like her. She has also published some books for children.
For 2019, JoJo Siwa has a net worth of $12 million, the amazing amount for such a young artist.
Siwa is famous for her image: dresses, shoes, and, most important, bows in her hair. In 2016, the singer created a line of bows and sold them at Claire's Accessories. These bows were trendy among young girls, especially in the United Kingdom. Later, these accessories were banned at schools because they harmed pupils' concentration and also were the cause of bullying.
For her 15th birthday, JoJo received a huge present from her parents – a car that was painted by the West Coast Customs. That news became the start of Justin Bieber’s fight with Siwa. He commented on the photo of that car with "burn it," later, Bieber apologized for that, but JoJo answered rather ironically to him.
