Tiffani Thiessen: biography
Tiffani-Amber Thiessen is an American actress, producer, and director, known to viewers for her roles in the popular TV series Saved by the Bell, Beverly Hills 90210 and Pandemic. After the release of the crime-detective network television series White Collar, the actress was again in the center of the audience's attention with a new wave of popularity coming at her.
Childhood and youth
The future actress was born in January 1974 in California, in the resort town of Long Beach on the Pacific coast. It is not surprising that Tiffani decided to become a movie star, because 30 kilometers from her hometown, in Los Angeles, beat the heart of the "dream factory" - Hollywood.
But the dream of a career in the movie industry did not appear in Tiffani Thiessen's mind in childhood. Her parents, a housewife Robin and a landscape designer Frank, were only indirectly related to art. They raised their three children, Tiffani-Amber and sons Todd and Schuler without reverence for the acting profession.
Perhaps the "explosive mixture" of blood in the veins of the girl had an impact on her future. On the mother's side of the family, there were Welsh people, Turks, and Greeks, on her father's – the Germans. Maybe, her uncle, who went to the same school as Steven Spielberg, influenced Thiessen's choice.
Tiffani Thiessen, a girl with a bright appearance, made the first successful steps in the modeling business (in 1987 she won the title Miss Junior America). Then she suddenly changed her mind and decided to tie her further biography with the podium and came to the set of the series Live In, where she was entrusted with a cameo role.
The first significant role went to Tiffani Thiessen at the age of 15. The actress played the character Kelly Kapowski in the series Saved by the Bell, which aired from 1989 to 1993. During the filming of the soap opera, the girl appeared in the popular sitcom Charles in Charge.
These two projects lit up a new star in the Hollywood sky, which viewers now recognized in person. Comedy series Married with ... Children, Step by Step and Blossom strengthened Tiffani Thiessen in a comedy role, as talked about by American movie critics.
Thiessen managed to change the opinion of viewers and critics in the mid-1990s, when the cult youth series Beverly Hills, 90210 was released. Tiffani joined the cast of the project and became a star of youth series. And again she became an actress of one role.
Tiffani Thiessen made attempts to break out of the single-genre actress image, playing roles in feature movies. From the mid-1990s to 2000, the American starred in the movies Sweet Dreams, The Stranger Beside Me, From Dusk till Dawn: Texas Blood Money.
In 2002, the premiere of the drama by genius Woody Allen Hollywood Ending took place, in which Tiffani appeared in a small role. Allen himself and Téa Leoni played the principal characters. But, the audience and critics did not praise the work of Thiessen in these projects.
The most successful works in the cinema of this period were the drama She Fought Alone, and comedy thriller Shriek If You Know What I Did Last Friday the 13th. In the first project, Tiffani Thiessen appeared in a duet with Brian Austin Green, in the second – with Tom Arnold.
In 2007, the premiere of the mini-series by Armand Mastroianni Pandemic took place. The main characters of the thriller were played by Tiffani Thiessen, Eric Roberts, and Faye Dunaway, but the star cast did not make the movie a success-the picture failed at the box office.
The actress returned to the filming of long-running television projects and became popular again. Thiessen appeared in the movie Fastlane, Good Morning, Miami and What about Brian?, which were warmly received by the audience. But the television series White Collar and Northpole got the greatest amount of attention.
In White Collar, the American actress played the main character Elizabeth Burke and returned to the first "star cast" of Hollywood. The project lasted for six seasons and aired from 2009 to 2014.
In the Canadian fantasy, Northpole Tiffani Thiessen starred with Douglas Barr and Josh Hopkins. The good Christmas tale appealed to viewers.
Tiffani Thiessen started having an affair with Brian Austin Green started in the late 1980s: a mutual friend, actor and musician David Faustino introduced them. In 1994, Brian and Tiffani began to live under the same roof, but soon the relationship broke down: in Autumn of 1995 the two stars broke up.
Tiffani Thiessen's relationship with a handsome fellow, David Strickland ended tragically. In 1999, David was arrested and convicted of drug use, and then he hanged himself in a hotel room. The actor, whom the court sentenced to probation and compulsory treatment, was in a deep depression, that influenced the tragic outcome.
After recovering from the loss, Thiessen found comfort in the arms of actor Richard Ruccolo whom she met on the set of the TV show Two Guys and a Girl. From 2001 to 2003, the young people were engaged. However, what became the ground for breaking up the engagement remains a secret.
Tiffani Thiessen found family happiness with Brady Smith. The two-year affair culminated in marriage and a secret wedding ceremony in Monterico, California. Journalists learned about the wedding a few months later-the stars did not want the happy event to be savored in the tabloids.
Today the couple is raising two charming children — a daughter Harper, born in 2010, and a son Holt, whom they had in 2015.
At various times, Tiffani Thiessen's best friends were Jennie Garth and Tori Spelling. The actress became friends with Jennie on the set of Beverly Hills, 90210. Thiessen became a bridesmaid at the wedding ceremony of Garth and Peter Facinelli, but soon their friendship ended.
